Overwhelmed

It's hard to get back into the pattern of college life. I'm not quite so used to not really having any free time anymore. This long weekend has been nice, but it only meant that I got to have a full two days of fun instead of my usual one day. Today was devoted to reading, note taking, assignment writing, et cetera, while the last couple of days have been devoted to Andy and my fish.

Saturday we went to the NY State Fair with his father and sister. It was enjoyable, but too hot. I'm not much into rides anymore, so my main interest in fairs now is the food. I had baklava for breakfast, and sampled Italian seasoned cheese curds, salt water taffy, and an orange creamsicle smoothie later on. We watched a short bird show, but compared to last year's, it was pretty lame. Andy's dad gave everyone $20, so I bought a beautiful blue tapestry and rice paper star at one of the Indian vendors. I have yet to hang up the tapestry because my ceiling is too high for me to reach, even when standing on my bed. =O

I'm only one week into school and already feeling overwhelmed. If it weren't for the fact that Parents Weekend comes early this year, and on my birthday at that, I wouldn't know what to do with myself.
