Cost of education

I still can't believe how much one semester of college costs. Now that I've finally paid my "intent to return"/tuition deposit, my bursar account online has been updated. It says:

  • Undergrad tuition: $13,605.00

  • Undergrad activity fee: $150.00

  • Co-curricular fee: $143.00

  • Undergrad health fee: $221.00

  • IST program fee: $175.00

  • TOTAL: $14,294.00

Luckily, my financial aid is listed as:

  • Federal Pell Grant: $900.00

  • Federal SEOG: $500.00

  • Federal Perkins Loan: $1,250.00

  • Federal subsidized Stafford Loan: $2,667.50

  • Syracuse grant: $7,500.00

  • TOTAL: $12,817.50

Meaning the amount of money I still owe is $1,476.50. That's really not bad at all. Unfortunately I still need to add about $600-$700 worth of SUpercard Food (campus snack bar debit) to my bill, but even then I will be borrowing more than $5,000 less in alternative loans than the last two years. That will definitely help with my student loan debt, as it will be the same for the next three semesters as well. It's still going to take forever to pay off all of my loans, however...
