Pre-Valentine's Day

The pre-Valentine's Day festivities consisted of giving Andrew his gifts from me, dinner at 238 Bistro in Armory Square, and then shopping at Shoppingtown.

My gifts to Andrew were a new leather wallet, a homemade photo album of pictures of us together, a big chocolate and peanut butter (his favorite) heart, and a scratch-and-sniff (strawberry) card. He desperately needed a new wallet because his old one was falling apart. He seemed pretty pleased with the booty.

Dinner was easily the most expensive and delicious food I've ever had. Andrew and I both had a shrimp salad as an appetizer, and for entres Andrew had the filet mignon and I had the roasted duck in orange sauce. We shared a beautiful dessert: A chocolate pyramid, filled with chocolate mousse, topped with edible gold foil with a crispy pastry filled with homemade vanilla ice cream and a huge hazelnut wafer on the side. The presentation alone was worth the price... $78 dollars, not including the tip. I've never been to such a frou-frou restaurant, but it was awesome. I look forward to that sort of thing being a regular experience for me.

We intended to shop for a sweater for his gift to me, but unfortunately all the stores we went to are already selling clothes for summer. So we ended up hitting The Body Shop. I picked out the tea tree foaming facial wash, tea tree foundation, vitamin C lip balm, and a little pot of blue eye shadow. I'm also pleased with the booty. <3

WTF?

So where did I go?

Oh, the usual. Hosting company went out of business. That sort of thing.

So Andrew and I lost a few months of hosting fees, and nearly lost our domain. Through a third-party we were able to get the domain back, and now I'm hoping that the credit card company will get back our money since our contracted service wasn't provided.

We lost more than money during the fiasco. My archives and blog layout are gone. Forever. Google had no cached copy, and web.archive.org never captured anything. The last year of my life is just gone. No record of it. No way to look back on it. Now what will I do when I forget?

Regardless, we're starting new. I'll try to get a new layout up in the next few days. Everything should be back to normal in the next few weeks.

Hello again, everyone.
